@datec has added a host of new features that give you greater control over your mail, you can:

• Use your email from anywhere around PNG, or World by Web Mail
  And if you have a domain name, you can:
• Direct different types of enquiries to the staff you want using Mail Names.
• Have unregistered mail addresses delivered to any mailbox using Default Delivery
• Have all of your mail delivered to a single mailbox using Forced Delivery.
• Have all your mail stored in a @datec Net mail bag and picked up by your office mail server Mail Bagging

Extra Functions for mail domain users

mail names
You can streamline your business processes using mail names if you have the mail domain service. In addition to the user-id mailboxes you already have, you can add mail names or aliases.
These are additional addresses which can have names like: sales@datec.com.pg or info@datec.com.pg.
Mail will be forwarded from these addresses to up to five other addresses.

default delivery
Default delivery makes sure you don't miss mail even if the target user-id or mail name is wrong, out of date or simply misspelled. The default delivery collects all mail that can't be delivered to actual user-ids or mail names at your domain name.
This option is also useful for smaller organisations who would like to collect most of their mail from one mailbox.

forced delivery
If you activate forced delivery, all mail sent to your domain name will go into a single mailbox, regardless of who it is addressed to. The only exception is mail addressed to mail names (see above).
Please use this option with care as all users except for the forced delivery address will stop receiving email.

mail bagging
Activate Mail Bagging and all mail sent to your domain name will be stored in a @datec Net mailbag which your mail server collects when it dials up. Your mail server then locally delivers the mail to the recipient. Mail Bagging overides any other @datec mail delivery options.
Mail Bagging is a charged service from @datec which facilitates easy mail delivery for all your users via your office mail server without having a permanent connection to the Internet.
