Digital Service

Use: 1880555 – 56K modems

The Digital Service will provide you with a more reliable and consistent service. We highly recommend you to use this service in the first instance.

Analogue Service

Use: 1880599 - 33.6K modems

The Analogue Service should be used as a fallback service, should in the unlikely circumstances the Digital Service be unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control.

Connection Problems
If you experience difficulties in connecting to any of the above numbers, you should check out our help / tech support section, or contact @datec directly for help.

If you experience constant dropouts please check that you do not have more than one device connected to the same line. If you are using an Siemens S10 model modem then please also read through this page.

Telikom Charges
These are charges associated with Dial Up connections to our modem facilities using Telikom’s '188' numbers. The charges will display on your Telephone statement and you make all payments directly to Telikom.

Current Telikom charge rates are as follows:

K3.60/hr - Mon to Sat (07:30am to 05:30pm)

K2.40/hr - Mon to Sat (05:30pm to 07:30am and all day Sundays)
